On October 6th we had the privilege of photographing Brock and Kathy’s beautiful wedding. It was a spectacular fall day with sun and crisp cool air, and both Brock and Kathy have the most incredible and loving families that made the day extraordinary. We were fortunate enough to get to take first look and couples photos in the breathtaking and peaceful Nitobe Garden and then move on for the ceremony and reception at the Brock House. Every part of the wedding was magical and it was a touching and memorable day we feel lucky to have been a part of.
And here is the rest of the evening.

After a lovely and long drive (8000 km) we were finally glad to be returning home to Vancouver. Here are some shots of our last legs of the prairies. We both would love to go on another road trip across Canada and the US when we aren’t on such a tight timeline can take the time to photograph everything that catches our eye!

For our first day driving down to St. Louis, we left Saskatoon at 5:00 am. We crossed the border at Fortuna, North Dakota and there was only 1 other car there at the time, so no need for Nexus passes there. We stopped for lunch in Williston where it is practically California Gold Rush with all the oil, and there were tons of new “homes” sprawling out in every direction. We talked to a few guys in town who said some of the workers are “hot bunking”, where they share a bed with another person who has an opposite 12 hour shift, so while 1 guy is working, the other is sleeping in the bed. The town looked as though it was bursting at the seams with how many people were there. Finally, we checked into our hotel in Hill City, South Dakota 15 hours later and we finished off the night with a visit to Mount Rushmore.

As part of our road trip down to the Mid West, we stopped for a few days in Saskatoon at Mitch’s parent’s farm. We had some beautiful weather and skies, so we took a few shots of a truck ride through the fields. There’s also a picture of Mitch’s dad.

Here are some more photos from the shoot that we did with Amanda Jane ( Made With Love Events) and our beautiful models/friends Jenny and Darren. It was a super fun/funny day. Early in the day we thought we might have to cancel when there was a torrential downpour – luckily that didn’t last long and after it was done it was a beautiful day.
Here are the people/companies that made the shoot possible/beautiful:

A few weeks ago we were lucky to get to shoot the lovely Cam and Caitlin! They are such a fantastic couple and have so much fun together and it was a joy to work with them. We walked around Coal Harbour, Lost Lagoon and Second Beach, and it’s the most fun we’ve had working in a long time! Enjoy.
We have been busy exploring the island of Kauai and have some new photos from our escapades! We have been enjoying the different beaches, went on several hikes to lookouts and waterfalls, visited many tasty restaurants, and of course maintained our strict regiment of rest and relaxation. Enjoy!
